Let's face it, we are living in unique times right now. Times where families like yours, all across this country, are living paycheck to paycheck more than they ever have in the past. Like that mother in Topeka who is in a hospital waiting room right now. Because her fourteen year-old daughter is going through her first round of chemotherapy. Or the dad out in California who was recently injured. As the sole bread-winner of his family, out of work for at least six weeks, wondering how he is going to pay the bills. You see, not many people know who we are or what we do; What we do is: we're there for you when you need us the most.

Really the easiest way for me to explain to you what Aflac is, is by telling you what we are not. We are not major medical insurance. We are alot different. We all know how major medical works: All of those benefits go to doctors and hospitals. Now wouldn't it be cool if there was an insurance that did the exact opposite of that? One that paid you directly, and you get to use the money how you need to use it? Wouldn't that be nice? See that is what we do.

Now you may be wondering what you need money for in a time of illness or injury in your family. In fact in a catastrophic event such as a cancer in the family those costs can be catastrophic and huge and families have a hard time taking care of that. In fact for that family the meter feels like it is going twice as fast. The third thing and worst of all is lost income. When is there a worse time for a family to lose its income than when more bills are coming in than ever before?

We know that most hospitals and doctors will work with us and let us pay off our debts in installments. But the power company doesn't necessarily work like that. or the mortgage company, or the person that owns the note to your vehicle. Those bills do not go away. The truth is this: You will need help.
